Leaving the urban context and getting into nature offers a lot in the way of relationships. New and peaceful settings, fun by the campfire, and hiking along beautiful nature trails help connect us to God. Most international students do not have the means or the experience to go camping on their own. The cost of car rentals, gas, food, and camping equipment add up quickly. These campouts have proven to be great ways to retreat from normal, hectic life and to focus on relationships. Many good conversations happen when we are away from life's routine.
